Shopping ban: Week 6
Verrrrrry ready to start shopping again but my credit card balance says No way you idiot!!! This weeks ban friendly purchases included new yoga pants and a running t shirt, canvases for painting (usually given away as gifts so I didn’t count them), bday gift for my sister, face lotion, gas, groceries, and booze. I really shouldn’t have to shop until spring/summer. Not sure how long I...

Potato chips
There was a bag of Garden Tomato and Basil chips next to the keurig this morning. They are so delicious but I have been trying not to snack plus they were unopened and I’m not a monster with no social skills. After I made my coffee I went to email my friend about the particular flavor of chips because we share a mutual love of salty snacks. I forgot the exact name so I googled Lays potato...

Masshole!
Do you know that when you click on your tumblr page nothing shows up? Tried it at work on IE and at home on Safari… Not sure how to message you!! The app is a miserable calorie counting app called LoseIt. You use it to track all your calories consumed and burned but you can also enter recipes into it to get calories/serving.

The weekend
Picked up my friend at the train Friday after work. Had some wine and got ready for dinner in Philly. Broke out the leather leggins again, this time with heels and sequins and studs (oh my?). Dinner was delicious. Had a few drinks and headed back early (early = before 2am). No drunk eating! Woo! Slept in Saturday. Hit up Trader Joe’s for some weekday lunch essentials and stuff for a stir...

There isn't much I hate more than
not being able to find the correct tupperware lid and when the shower curtain sticks to your body in the shower.

Took a spinning class tonight.
The instructor was good and funny and played great music. It was really rough and I couldn’t keep the resistance as high as she told us at some points but I got through the 60 minute class pretty well in my opinion. Not looking forward to how my butt is going to feel tomorrow! This marks 5 days in a row working out which if you know me, you know that’s insane. Taking a much needed...

Shopping ban: Week 5
Still going strong. In the spirit of full disclosure, I got a Jewelmint ring with a free credit, bought a $10 for $20 deal to CVS, and got a yoga mat strap. But free stuff/gift cards don’t count, most of the stuff I’d buy at CVS would be considered a necessary expense, and all exercise related expenses are ok plus the strap was on sale. I paid all my bills and I’m attempting to...

A delightful outdoor run in short sleeves at night...
I love it. 4.5 miles!! And a great start to the 2nd round of the winter workout challenge!! I did pretty miserable last round, only working out an average of 2.3 days/week. But I’m hoping to really do a lot better this time around!

My fingers still smell like garlic.
Not complaining. Could get stinky in hot yoga later tonight though…

I used my first coupon today.
It was exhilarating. Just kidding, it was actually really dumb cause I had to buy another whole package of tea to get $1 off. Now my neighbors are raging and I just chugged some sleepytime tea (that I was able to fit into my budget thanks to a generous manufacturers coupon) and I’m listening to The Hold Steady pandora station. About to read a little and then go to bed. Does sleepytime...

Shopping ban: Week 4
I have been too busy/distracted to shop and nothing special to shop for so it hasn’t really been THAT hard yet. My to-buy list is increasing though. Would have made some good credit card progress this week if it weren’t for an overdue car checkup, so I’m kind of back to where I started. This next paycheck is mostly bills. But the next one should make a good dent in my credit card...

No Great Illusion: What 20-Somethings Want →
You want a job, a vacation, heath insurance, validation, a back rub, a scalp massage at the place where you get your haircut, people who are jealous of you, an ex who won’t stop texting you when they’re drunk, Twitter followers, happiness maybe sorta, someone to buy you lunch at a fancy…

Sober Lent
Last year I gave up booze for lent and it was hard and annoying but I enjoyed how I felt and looked so I want to do something similar this year. I already have a bachelorette and wedding during lent so I think I might start it after the wedding in mid march and continue the same amount of weeks as last year, which will take me right up to broad st. Which works out fantastically cause if I want to...

Yoga class was extra sweaty.
And crowded. And the girl 2 down from me was like a professional yogi and I couldn’t stop staring at how bendy and strong she was. She did a handstand on her forearms. It was nuts. I’m still trying to master up dog…
